When Barack Obama acquired his chartered presidential campaign airplane, it originally had a ‘Stars and Stripes’ on the tail. After receiving the ‘Obama’ treatment, the airplane tail was changed to show Barack Obama’s logo. For those who would put an individual’s insignia before our National Flag, I guess that is ‘Change You Can Believe In’, but it sure isn’t the kind of change I want. Perhaps I’m just old fashioned or patriotic, but I still believe the office is more important than the man (or woman) and that the flag should still hold pride of place. I think that if the ‘President of the United States’ is a job worth having, then the ‘Stars and Stripes’ is a flag worth flying.
